Start with the way your people work.
Before comparing a price, list the tools your users need each day. Do they work entirely in a browser? Do they need installed Office applications? Who is responsible for device management and security? Those answers make the plan comparison more useful.
Three different starting points.
Business Basic is oriented toward web and mobile productivity, company email, and collaboration. Business Standard adds desktop Office applications. Business Premium brings productivity together with stronger identity, device management, and security capabilities. Review the exact plan and Teams variant before selecting licenses.
Look at the complete cost.
A lower subscription price is only one part of the decision. Consider deployment effort, existing tools, administration, support, and the features your team will actually use. Avoid purchasing overlapping capabilities without understanding what your existing subscriptions already include.
Bring these questions to a licensing review.
How many users need each capability? Which devices are managed? What subscriptions are already in the tenant? Which contracts are approaching renewal? Are there special eligibility requirements? A quote should resolve those questions and identify the exact offer and terms.
General purchasing guidance. Verify the current product terms and the conditions of your specific offer before purchasing.
