Match the product to a defined use case.
Start with a task such as preparing a document, finding work information or summarizing a meeting, then identify the relevant Microsoft product and licensing prerequisites. Existing data access and permissions influence what employees can work with. A readiness review should distinguish technical preparation from the business decision about which users and workflows should enter a pilot.
Measure a pilot without promising an outcome.
Bring the proposed user group, current subscriptions, information sources and examples of the work you want to improve. Agree pilot boundaries, responsible reviewers, user guidance and practical evaluation criteria. The handover can document readiness findings, access questions and proposed next steps. Productivity gains are evaluated through the pilot; they are not guaranteed by a license purchase or readiness assessment.
